History

In 1981, NHACES, the New Hampshire Association of Computer Education Statewide, was formed with Anne Knight as president. In September, 1981, the first annual meeting was held and the New Hampshire Association of Computer Education Statewide was born as a non-profit organization with articles of agreement and newly elected officers.

"The mission of NHACES is to foster the communication among people concerned about computer education in the public schools. Its primary goal is to improve the computer literacy of New Hampshire's students, teachers, administrators, and school board members by providing informational services and advice about computing in classrooms."

In October, 1991, NHACES and NHACC (NH Association of Computer Coordinators) merged to become NHSTE - our formal NH Affiliate of ISTE.
