How SEL Skills Can Encourage Digital Citizenship: Specific Activities for the Classroom & the Summer Break

Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) is how young people develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to manage their emotions and behavior and reach their personal and academic goals. It is a subject that’s been around for two decades and with the pandemic’s impact on mental health it’s need is even more clear in schools.

But how do you actually DO SEL in the classroom? How can you encourage SEL growth over the summer months?  And how can those skills transfer over to where students are for many hours a day: the internet?

This webinar will share practical tips and strategies for teaching SEL to change knowledge, skills, and attitudes towards student’s digital behaviors. Explore tried and tested lessons and activities that have been used with K-12 students and can be used in your classroom. You will also learn about resources and recommendations to help parents and students to prepare for summer learning to continue to support these SEL skills.
